Extreme HU FAQ.

Q: I get a runtime error 13 when starting the program.
A: This is normally due to the ini file being down level or not in the same folder as Extreme HU.exe. Delete the current ini file and restart the program OR Reinstall 1.6 Full version then the latest update.

Q: Why did Extreme HU cause my 4th byte of ATR to go to 00.
A: It didnt. The 4th byte of the atr drops due to poor timing on the HU Loader or moded unlooper.

Q: Extreme HU will not fix the 4th byte. Why?
A: For any program to fix the 4th byte of the ATR, it needs to glitch into the card. A bad 4th byte in the ATR does not prevent the card from glitching. The hardware is what is usually at fault.

Q: Why are xB cards so hard to load?
A: They arent. You will see that some people have problem with 4b's, some with 5b's, and others with 6b's. These are all due to the hardware. When your hardware is working properly ALL card should normally pop on the first glitch attempt.

Q: I noticed that while load a newEra hex file that my 4th byte of my ATR dropped to 00 but, the newEra file did load. Do I need to run the ATR 4th byte fix?
A: Probably not. Whenever Extreme HU enters boot mode the 4th byte of the ATR is automatically fixed. To verify this, click on the green check mark after loading the file.

Q: Extreme HU is my looping cards. What is the problem?
A: Your Hardware! Extreme HU goes through intense testing before any release. Hundreds of card I/O operations before it even makes it into BETA testing.

Q: Should I clean the card twice before loading anything on it?
A: NO! The more times you glitching into the card the more chance you have of doing damage. This is the reason the the newEra hex files perform a clean and add 3m in 1 step.

Q: When I read the eeprom of my card I get Run Time ERROR 76.
A: This is caused by having an invalid path in your default bin path. Go into settings and change this path to a valid 1.

Q: When I read my card in Extreme HU, the IRD number changes to a random number.
A: Some loaders will corrupt the ird number when glitching into the card. When you install activation the IRD number is cleared to all 0s. If you then dump the eeprom the IRD number may become corrupt. This is always happens with some loaders and never with others and seems to be caused by poor timing on the loader.

Q: I cant seem to unmarry my card. Why?
A: Same as above.

Q: After I activate my card I can order PPV channels, but get a message For ordering information, please call customer service on all other others.
A: Check to make sure your computers date is correct. The Tier Expiration dates are calculated via your computer date. If it is not correct, then your Tier Expiration dates will not be correct either.
